We are members of countless associations, and enjoy celebrating our traditions, which are a mix of Alpine and Mediterranean values and lifestyles – this is what makes us stand out and what makes our culture so unique. Even if we do not always see eye to eye on everything, we are united by the daily commitment for a high quality of life. Because we love what we do, and we do what we love.

The South Tyrol brand family unites tourism and agriculture under one roof to create synergies. The goal is to highlight the productshigh quality and to be a genuine ambassador for South Tyrol and its unspoilt nature. 

The South Tyrol brand

The South Tyrol Badge is used for co-branding by companies working in the tourism sector and affiliated branches. The South Tyrol Pointer is reserved for institutions. South Tyrol brand users benefit from a positive image transfer. 

The South Tyrol seal of quality

The South Tyrol seal of quality represents certified quality and guaranteed origin of agricultural products. It is used by producers for co-branding and guarantees quality, regional origin, and transparency to consumers. 

The “A company from South Tyrol” seal

The “A company from South Tyrol” seal symbolises regional ties and quality. Companies in the manufacturing industry and service providers for co-branding use it, for example, on company cars or websites. It is not used for products. 

A Shared Identity

A South Tyrolean Success Story

The South Tyrol brand family was created to unite the region’s diverse products and brands under a shared identity. It leverages synergies between tourism and agriculture: while the landscape enhances the emotional appeal of regional quality products, the products serve as authentic ambassadors. The South Tyrol brand is jointly managed by the Province of Bolzano and IDM South Tyrol.

2003

Launch of the South Tyrol Brand: The strategic alignment of the brand establishes a brand identity with a consistent visual appearance.

2005

First Use of the South Tyrol Brand, the South Tyrol seal of quality, Südtiroler Apfel PGI, Speck Alto Adige PGI and the "A company from South Tyrol" seal.

Introduction of the regulations: The brands are officially launched and promoted. Clear rules for their allocation and use are defined.

2009

First Use of the South Tyrol Wine DOC Brand: The South Tyrol Wine DOC brand is officially introduced and promoted.

2015

Content Development: The location mark is graphically modified, and the South Tyrol brand is made available for new user categories (natural products).

2019

Modification of the Fixed Application: The South Tyrol Badge is introduced, and the wordmark color changes from green to gray.

2020

South Tyrolean Schüttelbrot Receives PGI Status: The traditional Schüttelbrot gains Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status, further expanding the South Tyrol brand family.

2021

Further Development: The South Tyrol brand focuses on the key areas of sustainability and innovation.

New Brand Core: "South Tyrol, Quality for Life" is established as the central message.

2024

The South Tyrol Brand for the Timber Sector: Criteria for quality, sustainability, and innovation are developed, enabling businesses in the timber sector to use the South Tyrol brand if they meet these requirements.
